Hey hi everyone! Wanted to drop you a little advanced notice of something fun coming soon to a rp near you.

The anniversary of the end of the war is coming up next month. To mark the occasion, and as a sign of solidarity between Rozzaria, Dalmasca and Archadia, Queen Ashe is hosting a public fête. On the honored guests list is included the young Emperor Larsa, Prince Al-Cid Margrace, and Marquis Halim Ondore IV. It's a star-studded event that no one should miss!

In particular, the main fête will be held just outside the gates of royal palace in Rabanastre. There will be music, entertainment and grand banquet tables, with an open invitation to everyone that's in the area to attend. The queen and her guests will be putting in a nominal appearance to the mass crowds that are expected to attend. Rest assured though, the guards will be doubled, tripled even, to ensure the safety and protection of the royal residence.

A smaller secondary party will be held within for the close friends and acquaintances of the royals in attendance. People probably will hear that it's going on and likely speculating about how much politicking is going on behind closed doors. Rampant speculation in the streets too that the queen is finally making up her mind about a second marriage. (And it's about time!) Whatever's going on inside the palace while the party is on outside isn't just fodder for streetears and gossips. It'll have a lasting effect that will start to show up in March.

So! Everyone get your party shoes on and be ready to join the crowds. Feel free to speculate amongst yourselves ICly before, during, and after the big celebration. The fête will be held on February 7th.

Penny is also going to be at the party. I think she's supposed to be getting an invite to the inside party since she was present for the 'take down the big bad final boss'. But more than likely she'll sneak out to the common party sometime early because she just doesn't fit in those upper crust circles.

Expect her to be dancing, ok?

Mjrn and Ursula will be there! Ursula will be in Ceodore's company, while Mjrn is attending alone. I'm open to party ideas for either.

Ramza will be attending, if only to learn more about Ivalice's royalty in this time period, since their relationship to the common people was a lot more antagonistic in his own time. Nanaki could potentially come, too, if I don't decide to still have him travelling around, if anyone would be interested! :|a

Basch will be attending, because he's accompanying Larsa. He might try to slip out to the other party just to look around, but that depends. HE DOES NOT DO PARTIES OKAY that means someone needs to push him at a pretty girl amirite

Marlene will also be coming, because she needs to see everyone.

Rikku, well, who knows. It depends on when I intro her.

Alright! Let's see here...

Adelle will absolutely be attending the fete. Is anyone surprised? Didn't think so. She'll be dolled up and all over everything, not to mention looking to get a glimpse at all the royals. As I doubt she's got an invitation, she will be attempting to pull a -- I was going to say pull a Vaan, but honestly, Adelle's worlds ahead of where he was skillwise when he sneaked into the fete three years ago, so! Let me just say that our dear cat will be attempting to sneak into the palace to get in on all the political hubbub, which may actually see her break from the festivities early. I'm not sure how she'll attempt to do it just yet, but chances are she's going to get creative. It's guaranteed it'll be with more finesse than Vaan could manage also.

Agrias Oaks will also be attending the fete as she will be very much interested in educating herself about the events of this time and Ivalice's people, both noble and common, with some definite curiosities about the former in particular. Might wanna hold onto your chocobos. She may dress up. Anyone wanna be responsible for helping make that happen? Any takers at all? Because it needs to. Badly.

If you want to bump into them or make specific plans, I'm game! I'm quite open with my ladies.

Squall will be there, not because he likes parties (he doesn't really), but he thinks it'll be useful to learn more about this world and possibly to make useful connections. Someone needs to get him to actually relax at least part of the time while he's there.

You know what else happens on February 7th? Aerith's birthday! You can bet she'll be at the fete, and she'll be expecting presents from everyone... even you guy who looks grumpy in the corner! She'll be busy trying everything from the food to the entertainment, and might even try to rope you into dancing if you're close enough to the music. Lots of reasons to run into new faces and old. :3c

Sephiroth will be attending due to the guest list, because he knows most of those names, and there's one in particular he wishes to see. Unfortunately for him, this little trip is bound not to end well for him. So anyone care to cheer the man up afterward? Or at least make him have a little fun at the party?
