Merchants take full advantage of the crowds, setting up booths to sell everything from handheld wyrdhare pies to extra weapons.

Ah and the fighters! Eight teams, five rounds of combat. The regional laws forbid the use of items during the combat process, though that often doesn't prevent the occasional cheater tossing back a potion when they suppose no one is looking. Every so often, a team's down a member from injury or illness and recruiting a capable replacement from the audience isn't unheard of at all.
